The Taraura Rodders club put on a fantastic event, even ensuring plenty of sunshine to make it a great day. With the drag cars, off-roaders, and retro caravans all outside, the two indoor auditoriums were set up with the entrant's show cars in the larger room, and the speedway cars and trade stands in the smaller.

A key feature was the wide range of car categories that were on display, from hot rods and classics through to a good selection of Aussie and New Zealand classics of all types.

The fire up of the hefty drag cars out on the asphalt was real ground pleaser, as was the array of food stall serving excellent food and coffee.

But the drawcard for many was a wander around the special parking area for spectator's cars. If 'shares' and 'likes' on Facebook are an indicator, looking at the cars in the car park was the favourite part of the day for most. Again, a huge range of cars, each one the pride and joy of its owner.
