Rodders Ltd

Rodders NZ is about creating great content for Kiwis who love hot rodding and custom cars.

We aren’t affiliated with any clubs or associations*, but hope to support the good work of these established hot rodding groups though our event and club directories, plus other content we have planned. Our goal is to encourage non-members to join a club and become involved.

Our interest is to introduce rodding to people who have an like hot rods and modified street cars, but have not started their own project become involved in a club previously.

Rodders is not just about the cars, although that’s a pretty major part, it’s also about the mindset and lifestyle. Not wanting to fit the standard mould. Being unique and creative. One of the most popular posts in our first month on Facebook was actually an old educational classic from Billy T James on how to buy a used car, we’re don’t want to take things too seriously either.

Bottom line, we think that life is too short to not be doing what you enjoy. Some rules are just plain stupid, and society has become too PC. The thing we love about rodding is that it swims against the current, allows self expression, and attracts fantastic, interesting people who are passionate and keen to share their interest with others. It’s like a big family.

We launched Rodders NZ in June 2015 with our facebook page (facebook.com/rodders.nz). Getting 1000 likes in the first month made us realise that there are a lot of people out there who love modified cars as much as we do, so we’ve decided to push on with our plans by building this website. The main content we want to be adding to our site are the stories of ordinary Kiwi rodders, their projects and their cars.

Whether it’s a prize-winning show car, a modified Aussie classic, a rusty old half finished project that’s been in the shed for the last 5yrs, or anything else that makes someone a ‘Rodder’, we want to hear their story, and share it with others who are interested.

* Rodder's Ltd is not aligned with any other club or association, but as an individual I'm a member of Capital Rodders, which is affiliated with the NZHRA. I also intend joining the NSRA and a Mustang Owners club in the future. - Rick Wallace, Founder, Rodders Ltd.
