The next owner was then a Wanganui resident in July 1983, before the car was sold into the Auckland area in July 1984, where Richard and Jacki purchased it in June 2007, at which stage it had travelled 67,572 miles.

History: This is a low mileage (123000 Miles) unrestored car. The exterior had just been painted before Arthur bought it and he has since painted the engine bay and floor and boot area. The car spent all of its life in Renton Washington (Arthur has the original hand book) and was completely original until Arthur had a "brain fart" and decided to modify it.
This superb 1966 Mustang convertible was imported into New Zealand The 1966 Convertible was owned by one family in Californian. This superb 1966 Mustang convertible was imported into New Zealand around 1995/6 by it's first NZ owner, a panel beater from Christchurch. 10yrs later he sold the car to the second owner, who had it briefly before selling it to Nick and Elaine. They have been proud owners for the last 7yrs. Since buying the car Nick has renewed the front suspension, radiator, water pump, and completed some minor repairs, but other than that the car is as it was.
I purchased the car about 10 years ago as supposedly a good car, but it turned out to be a bit of a basket case so a total rebuild was required to bring it to its current standard, including new doors, most body panels were rust disguised with bog, also totally stripped & overhauled the motor, transmission, brakes, the list goes on, 5 years in the making. The end result made it all worthwhile.
Chris's parents bought this 1965 Mustang Hard Top from Willliams Ford in Daly City, San Francisco, and drove it off the lot new. They moved back to Christchurch in 1967 with the car, where it was used as a family vehicle for decades. Later on the car was put into storage for another decade.
